My name is Carla Mackie. I’m a Certified Master Bra Fitter, through the Eveden Fitting School directed by National Fit Specialist, Freddy Zappa. For over 20 years, I’ve been helping women discover the difference a properly fitted bra has on all aspects of their life. This truly has become my life’s work.
Uplift Intimate Apparel exists because comfort isn’t a luxury — it’s a right. When you stop thinking about what you’re wearing, something shifts. You stand differently. You move differently. You show up differently.

EMILY
Emily joined us in June 2025 as one of our fantastic fitters, and she also curates products for our clients and manages our Pinterest page. Emily gets it—as a former client who experienced too many bad fittings, she knew Uplift was different. Now she loves creating that stress-free shopping experience and watching clients leave with more confidence. “There’s such gratification with the big exhale from clients when you find the bra that fits,” she says.
Fun Fact: Emily is fluent in French, yet has never been to France. Hmm, that needs to be remedied.
SARAH
Sarah graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program with a degree in Fashion Design, discovering her passion for Visual Merchandising with brands like Marlene’s Bridal and Talbots. She stepped back to raise her three kids, supporting them through every sport and activity imaginable. Now that the oldest is wrestling in college, Sarah joined Uplift in February 2018. She loves “the diversity of our clients and the flexibility to update the store layout.”
Fun Fact: Sarah sang in the choir behind Andrea Bocelli in December 2022—in Italian, without knowing the language.
MARY
Mary works part-time with Uplift and Pure Barre, bringing her dynamic energy as an avid fitness buff and runner.
She and her husband are travel lovers who escape to warm places whenever they can—or visit their grown kids.
TERESA
Teresa joined us in April 2026, bringing a natural gift for service rooted in decades of faith and community work. She’s an Irish triplet (yes, really!) and one of seven kids—the original Brady Bunch. She spent over 20 years teaching and directing a local preschool, and survived a remarkable 10-month cancer journey that revealed other health concerns along the way. Now cancer free, she channels that resilience and love of women into serving every customer here at Uplift.

Our grand vision hasn’t changed in 9 years: to reach women in communities near and far about the importance and joy of having properly fit intimates. It’s so much more than selling lingerie. To continue reaching these goals, we need YOU to join our journey.
Do you love to serve and want to make a difference in people’s lives? Are you good at seeing something that needs to be done and just doing it? If any of this sounds like you, we’ve got an opportunity you should seriously consider.
You will:
- Engage directly with clients in the shop, by phone, and through handwritten notes
- Ensure all customers are properly fit for all products (complete training provided)
- Maintain strict client confidentiality — always
- Maintain inventory, client profiles, and a beautifully displayed shop
- Be actively involved in community events and marketing outreach
Qualifications:
- Servant’s heart above all else
- Passion for customer care and strong communication skills
- Motivated, team-oriented, and takes pride in their work
- Knowledge of Apple computers and programs
- Able to sit, stand, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexible availability Monday–Saturday, up to 24 hours/week
